Ailish is 19 years old and hails from a small town in Co.Donegal called Creeslough, also known as “The Home of Bridie Gallagher”. Ailish has been on the Country Music scene for the past three years professionally and has already shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the Country Music Scene. She claims her late grandparents Clem and Dot Mossop from Cumbria, England discovered her talent. Ailish was first chosen to perform at a Christmas play at her primary school aged 10/11 where she sang “The Masters Hand” which features on her Home to My Donegal album. The DVD of the play was then sent to her grandparents and her grandfather was immediately eager to get Ailish into a recording studio, but he unfortunately passed away before hearing the finished product however Ailish says they are her biggest inspirations. She then joined the Donegal Youth Choir where she performed classical pieces at concerts and shows alongside the other choir members, meanwhile still having a big love for Country Music. Following on from this Ailish then decided to branch out onto the Country Music scene and has since released 2 albums and numerous singles including the hit single “Golden Ring” featuring Ciaran Rosney in which they were presented with a Gold Disc, and Scania 164 which has reached over a million hits on YouTube. She presented a show on Phil Mack’s “Keep it Country TV” for over 2 years titled “Ailish’s Country Mix” and was also a semi-finalist on this year’s Glór Tíre ar TG4. Away from the singing Ailish is also studying to be a Veterinary Nurse and has a great love for all creatures great and small! Busy times ahead for this girl
